Okay, so I am way behind on the blog here!  But here is the newest information....

Lilly turned one...see all about it on her blog!

It is snowing like crazy outside and I love, but hate it at the same time. I love how beautiful it looks, but I hate being stuck at home until the roads are clear enough.  

Accident update:  So I have been discharged from physical therapy.  My wrist still hurts like heck, but the doctors have no idea what is wrong.  They want to do steriod injections, but I have a problem with them treating me for something when they have no idea why there is still pain.  My back is stabilizing and my chiropractor visits have been decreasing.

School update:  I was accepted to University of Maryland University College for the Spring semester.  I am very excited, they have a fully accredited online BA History program and also an online masters program.  So that is the plan for now.

Also, on Lilly's birthday I was in the ER for bleeding.  I wasn't sure if I was hemorrhaging or mi scarring.  After the ER basically blew me off and hustled me out of my room, I was sent home with instructions to take Motrin.  That is a total slap in the face.  Anyway, I went to my doctor and she said that the Endometriosis is probably causing all of this and she gave me my options.  These included birth control, which has not worked in the past, a hysterectomy, or a D & C, which if it doesn't work will put me back into this same position.  So I have decided to do the hysterectomy.  It is on January 2nd.  If anyone want to help with Lilly let me know!

Politics!!

What the hell is this world coming to?  I was watching the news for Phoenix, which isn’t a common thing for me.  I also don’t talk politics, but it is time for a change. 

 In case you haven’t heard, there have been record number gun sales since the election.  People are afraid that Obama is going to ban guns and make it almost impossible for people to buy ammo.  This is so stupid!!  I realize that the second amendment is one of the most debated and controversial amendments.  However, the Supreme Court just incorporated the Second Amendment, giving the states the power of the Second Amendment.  I realize that Obama is saying that he wants common sense gun laws. 

 Anyway, I digress.  I was watching this report tonight and they were talking to a guy who said that in order for Obama to be elected, it must be a conspiracy theory.  We sell guns to these people!!  I just think that is craziness.  I think we are going to see a lot of craziness come out of this country now.  I am just wondering if the KKK is going to burn a cross on the White House lawn!!  The famous quote “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it” seems to be a great quote for these times. 

 I don't care what anyone's political views are, nor do I agree with any racist group out there. And if you didn't vote, don't bother to leave a nasty response!

Voting

I am not a person who normally talks politics, but be sure to get out there and vote on November 2, 2008!! It is a right that many people take for granted, don't be one of those smucks!!

School's out for...oh no it isn't....

Midterms start on Wednesday!! I have been studying my butt off, but have lacked some motivation until tonight. I finally got all notes, flash cards, etc done for the seven chapters that will be covered on Wednesday's test. I am exhausted and it is almost 2 am, but it was well worth it. I have an easier time studying when I don't have little fingers "helping" me. If this makes no sense it is because it is so damn late!!

By the way, Mel Gibson's Mayan movie, I can't spell the name, is very violent and graphic. Just so y'all know!!

Drama Alarm....Alarm Drama

I have to say that Best Buy has some good customer service, but I wish I did not need to use it!! I took my car in yesterday for the alarm. They called me today to tell me that they got it to work and it was working perfectly. I was so excited. I picked up Peter and we headed over there. I go in and talk to a manager because I was stuck there for so long and I wanted to be compensated for the whole drama yesterday. We check out the car and it starts and honks when you lock it etc. So I get my refund and I am off.

Well today was picture day for us. We got our family pictures done tonight. Anyway we ran into Sears to buy the Binks shoes and I decided to double check the door. I had locked it, but it had not actually locked. I opened the door and....NO ALARM!! So I called back over to Best Buy and told the installer that I thought it was an alarm. I was told it was only a remote start. I then told him that it was not locking. He said if it was a quick fix, he could fix it today other wise it would be Wednesday.

We head over to Best Buy again, and he takes a look at it. I asked about a feature that is listed in the book and he tells me it is not set up because he doesn't know how. If I want that I am going to have to bring it BACK in next week. He also told me that he couldn't get the doors to lock like they are suppose to until Friday because he does not work on Wednesday. Oh and I needed to talk to a manager to figure out about the whole no alarm thing.

So I talk to a manager, the same manager from this morning. He calls over another manager and this is where the whole good customer service comes in. They are going to put in the correct product that I asked to purchase on Thursday. They are bringing up an installer from Prescott. And I don't have to pay for anything else for this alarm. The only catch is I have to go yet another day without a car!!

My only disappointment is that I asked for them to give me a 50" flat screen LCD HDTV for my inconvience and they said no. I think it was a reasonable request!!!!

Why??

I have one question...why does this stuff keep happening to me?? You are probably wondering what I am talking about. Well, where do I start? On Thursday I got a call from my lawyer, who told me that I could pick up our settlement checks. So, my mom and I decide to go to Phoenix on Friday to get a jump start on Christmas shopping. On Friday, I get up with the plan of going to Physical Therapy, the chiropractor and then to Phoenix. I come out into the living room and find out that Buddy has licked his stitches off and he has a huge, open incision. I had to make an emergency vet visit which cost me over $100!! Then we get to Phoenix and little things happen. I am shopping in Babies 'R' Us and Lilly pees all over me. I am talking total soakage!! Today I take in my car into Best Buy to get my remote start put in. I was told it would take 5 hours max. So after 6 hours of walking around the mall, Best Buy, Home Depot, well pretty much every store in the mall "expansion" with the baby, Peter and I go back and we find out the car isn't done. Peter cannot take both Lilly and me home because Lilly, the carseat, and me will not fit into Peter's truck. So finally Peter takes a tired cranky Lilly home. I sit at Best Buy for another FOUR HOURS!! Only to be told that the guy cannot get the car to start via remote....the whole reason for the install. I find out I have to go back tomorrow and HOPEFULLY they will have my car done. If the installer cannot be walked through the installation with the manufactor, then I will have to take my car back next week to get it fixed. Each time this happens, I am without a car because Peter has to do this wierd thing call work. I just don't get it. Best Buy officals, claim that it is because this is a new model and that is what is causing the problem. Meanwhile I am without a car and paying out the bung hole to have this installed. Peter is concerned that we'll get the car back and it just will never be the same. UGGGGGGGG!!!

Karma??

I did a good thing today!! I saw a dog almost get hit on 4th Street today.  I pulled in the paint store's parking lot and convinced this beautiful dog that I wasn't going to eat him.  I was petting him and trying to figure out how to get him in my car so I could take him to the pound.  This guy came up and told me he knew who's dog it was and went to go see if she would come and get the dog.  He came back and told me he couldn't find the owner.  I figured I had to take him the pound or he was liable to get hit.  So as I went to go open up the back of the car, he took off!  I went into the paint store and asked them to call animal control.  They agreed and I walked out of the store.  I totally biffed it while walking off the curb.  I scraped up my knee and luckily I put out my right hand and not left when I landed or that could have been disastrous!! So I was backing out and that damn dog came back.  I went to go catch him and he ran off again.  The FPD officer who was writing some lady a ticket helped me catch him and he took care of getting him to the pound.  

So my question is, why did I get hurt while I was trying to do a good deed??  I mean I know I am walking disaster, but still....you'd think God would grant me a break!! 

What was I thinking??

I have decided that I am going to do something really cool for Christmas presents this year. However I do not think that I realize exactly what it entailed. For the sake of surprise, I cannot explain exactly what it is, but trust me, everyone who gets it better like it!

As for today, I went to Picasso's for lunch with my mom. As much as I give my mom a hard time, I really do enjoy her company. SHHHH don't tell her. I do however wish that she wasn't sick. It tries me. She said she would call the doctor tomorrow and tell them about her legs, but then she said she didn't want to because she did not want them to tell her she has blood clots in her lungs. I told her they could be treated if caught. She said she would call them, but we will see. I wish that she was in better health so she could enjoy the baby more. I asked her to watch Lilly so I could take a shower. About 3 minutes into my shower, I hear Lilly. Her voice is getting louder and louder and WHAM!! she's in the bathroom with me. I quickly rinsed off, but it made me mad at first. Then I realized that the Binkster is getting too fast and mobile for my mom. She cannot chase her down. So now I am going to have to find a new way to take a shower. Until then, I recommend using a clothespin!

Self Depreciation

I realize that I have a rather dim view of myself. I hate the way I look. I gained a bit of weight with Lilly and I just do not like the way I look. I am trying to lose the weight with exercise and watching what I eat. Yet, I always seem to fall off the wagon. I joined Stroller Strides. I love the workout (no I don't) and I love being outside with Lilly. But I am getting frustrated. I am one of the last people and I tend to hold the group up. I was all gun-ho about it until the fateful day of the HILL. That was the day I began to dread it. I was so tired and so sore that I wanted to die and hoped someone would find the baby before she was raised by wolves (these would be the same wolves who ate me as I lie on the side of the trail). Ok I am being a drama queen, but still, you get my point. I know that if I keep up with it I won't be the last person. I will be with all the in-shape moms at the front of the line. But until that happens I cannot help but feel this way.

Since the baby came around I have not really separated my stuff from hers. She has become my world!! So this is my attempt at regaining my own image and not that of Lilly's Mom.
